Galer Anne Farrer: Principal Dentist. BDS Honours (Sheffield) MJDF RCS (England)
Galer qualified in 2008 with BDS Honours from the University of Sheffield and was awarded the Annual Prize for General Dental Practice. In 2009 she obtained by examination the Membership of the Joint Dental faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons, England.
Galer has worked extensively within general practice, taught at the dental hospital and undertaken Senior House Officer positions in the Community Dental Service, Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Restorative Dentistry departments. In 2011, Galer completed the renowned 18-month one-to-one dental implant training course at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield.
Galer became Principal of Sharrow Vale Dental Care in February 2017. She fell in love with the practice, which treats both private and NHS patients, as is it one of the few remaining small independent dental practices in Sheffield with a wonderful caring team.
As an experienced and trusted practitioner, Galer has achieved local and international recognition for her work – including worldwide ‘Case of the month’ to demonstrate her success with the Inman aligner, winning Best Young Dentist 2015 (North East) at the prestigious Dentistry Awards and one of the 2016 Fast Track Four prizes at the Private Dentistry Awards where the prize included a trip to Hamburg! In 2019 she was highly commended again at the Dentistry Awards and most recently was commended as ‘Young Dentist of the Year’ 2020.
Galer can help patients understand how their skin and face changes over time, and advise patients how to achieve the look they want – she is qualified to perform both Anti-Ageing Injections and Dermal Fillers.
Out of work, Galer is extremely motivated and NEVER sits still. She enjoys travelling, spending time with her family, running and up-cycling furniture.
