Are you stuck wondering what removable retainer to choose? At Sharrow Vale, we offer 2 different types of Removable Retainers, the Vivera and Essix.
The Vivera Retainer is made by the Invisalign brand. Invisalign use Smart Track technology for a sturdy and effective retention of your smile. They are more expensive than Essix retainers however they are made from a thicker, more durable plastic.
Essix retainers are a cheaper option, as these are made from a thinner plastic, this means they bend more easily. This could lead to them breaking faster than a Vivera retainer
Both options are good, however if you are wanting your smile to last as long as possible without any problems, we would always recommend the Vivera.
If your teeth are moving or you have had a relapse in alignment, we also offer a fixed retainer that will sit behind your incisor teeth. You can get more information about this from your dentist.
