Amy qualified in 2008 with BChD Honours from the University of Leeds. In 2010 she obtained the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons, England. Amy was awarded with the postgraduate Diploma in Special Care Dentistry with Distinction from the University College London Eastman Dental Institute in 2013.
Since qualification Amy has worked in a variety of dental services. These have included a Senior House Officer role in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, an Associate Dentist in the NHS general dental service and the prison dental service.
Amy’s current primary job role is as a Senior Community Dentist for the Sheffield Community and Special Care Dental Services, where she provides dental care to a range of patients requiring additional support due to physical, intellectual, medical, mental or social impairments.
Amy runs the groundbreaking Residential Oral Care in Sheffield Programme for Sharrow Vale Dental Care. She provides dental care in 11 care homes for over 410 residents.
Out of work Amy enjoys spending time with her young family exploring the Peak District.
